Getting Started with GIS

GIS, or Geographic Information Systems, is a framework to gather and analyze geospatial data. Using maps and 3-D models, it enables one to visualize geospatial data in fields such as geology, meteorology, political science, and history. In this introductory workshop, renowned geographer Dr. Joseph Kerski of Esri, the global market leader in GIS technology, will introduce the fundamentals of GIS and tools such as ArcGIS Online.
