The first of two presentations on Scopus--the largest abstract and citation database of scientific journals, books, and conference proceedings. This presentation will be repeated at 1pm. Open to all faculty, staff, and students. Refreshments will be served. Scott Bard of Elsevier will introduce Scopus content and features. Scopus is a competitor of Web of Science, a major citation database currently held by the library, and a comparison of Scopus and Web of Science will be covered in the presentation. University Libraries is also hosting a trial of Scopus that will expire in mid-November. To access the trial and sign up for one of the workshops, go here.
