Open Access and Scholarly Communication

Open Access is an increasingly important avenue for scholarly publication.  Advocates claim it can accelerate scientific discovery, enrich public knowledge, and improve education; yet many issues have slowed its widespread adoption.  In this workshop we will explore the benefits and controversies of open access publishing, tools for evaluating open access journals, and options for publishing your own research in open formats.

This workshop is intended for graduate students, faculty, and anyone interested in publishing their own academic work.
